Questions

The things people ask first.

Still unsure whether this is the right fit?

Ask us directly. We'd rather answer an honest question than have you guess from a website.

Ask a question

Is this alternative medicine?

No. Our providers are licensed, our care is evidence-informed, and our naturopathic physicians work alongside conventional specialists rather than in opposition to them. If a conventional treatment is the right answer, that's the answer you'll get.

Do you take my insurance?

Individual providers may bill insurance for clinical visits where state law allows — naturopathic doctors can bill insurance in both Oregon and Washington. It varies by provider, so we'll confirm before you book. Movement, hydrotherapy, and kitchen programs are cash-pay or membership-based.

Do I have to be a patient to take a class?

Not at all. Cooking classes, seminars, garden volunteer mornings, and community health days are open to everyone. Plenty of people meet us that way long before they ever book a visit.

What conditions do you work with?

Most of our patients come with chronic concerns — metabolic, hormonal, autoimmune, digestive, or mental health — often after symptom-only care hasn't gotten them anywhere. We also work with active people managing injury, pain, and recovery.

Can I use the gym or hydrotherapy without being a patient?

Yes. Campus membership is open to anyone. Patients get programming that's coordinated with their care plan, but you don't need a clinical relationship to train or recover here.

When do you open?

We're pre-launch: location, licensing, buildout, and hiring are underway. A planned opening in 2027 is our current working target, not a guarantee. Waitlist members get the real date first.

I'm a practitioner — how do I join?

Through the IA Provider Network, which keeps your practice independent while sharing standards, referrals, and infrastructure. Start with the form on the For Practitioners page.

What are the retreats?

IA Global runs curated international retreats combining healing practices, cultural immersion, and rest. They're a later phase — the flagship campus comes first.
